Google Advertisements

The Starbucks For Tohoku website now includes advertisements to raise even more money for the Tohoku relief effort. All revenue made off advertisements will be deposited in a bank account made specifically to collect all the money raised (thank you Mirai). Advertisements will be placed in the right sidebar, the bottom bar, and below small posts.  If you see any inappropriate ads, please report them to 12deruyverm@yis.ac.jp.

What We Do

Our aim is to produce a service in which everyone wins. Teachers now can enjoy an array of Lattes, Frappuccinos, Macchiatos, and Cappuccinos, hassle free. More importantly, our service supports the relief effort in Tohoku to help both rescue operations, and rebuilding operations.

Environmental Responsibility

Paper Bags
Printed on every Starbucks bag are the words:
Use. Reuse. Reuse. Reuse. Reuse. Reuse. Recycle.

We used to go through 20 paper bags to serve your coffee.

But what if we could halve that number, and halve it again? Would that still get the job done? Of course it will. That is why we choose to reuse 5 bags for the entire week. The logic behind this is fairly simple. You can hire 5 workers to do a job for a week, then let them retire. Or, you can hire 3 workers every day, and fire them, just to hire another 3 workers for the day after.

That's why we follow the very motto printed on the bags.

Plastic Cups
Plastic is a very useful material. It's cheap, durable, and long-lasting. This is also why it's destroying our planet. Plastic has a high dependency on oil during it's manufacturing process, and is made so that it doesn't degrade, making it expensive to recycle and takes up to 500 years to decompose.

Instead of that, buy a tumbler, and never use another plastic cup at starbucks again.

By choosing to use a tumbler instead of plastic cups, you choose to protect rain forests all over the world from deforestation, and choose to reduce the world's dependency on oil.

On your order form, tick the checkbox stating that you want us to fill your tumbler, and say where and when we can pick it up.
